Amit Shah’s effort for taking Hindi Diwas to different cities hailed
Dinesh Kumar Singh, General Secretary of the Central Secretariat Official Language Service Officers Association, has welcomed the Home Ministe Amit Shah's effort to take Hindi Diwas out of the offices to different cities. Singh (Assistant Director, Ministry of Home Affairs) said that the concept of All India Official Language Conference is the brainchild of Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah and after Varanasi and Surat, now the third conference has been held in Pune to expand the horizon of Hindi.

Mumbai, Sep 16 Dinesh Kumar Singh, General Secretary of the Central Secretariat Official Language Service Officers Association, has welcomed the Home Ministe Amit Shah's effort to take Hindi Diwas out of the offices to different cities. Singh (Assistant Director, Ministry of Home Affairs) said that the concept of All India Official Language Conference is the brainchild of Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah and after Varanasi and Surat, now the third conference has been held in Pune to expand the horizon of Hindi.He said, “This conference has become an important platform --not just to create awareness about the language but also to let people know the technical progress taking place in the field of language.”
The Pune conference has also been meaningful with the presence of linguists, litterateurs and other well-known personalities, he said. Singh described the address particularly by Chamu Krishna Shastri, Chairman-Central Institute of Indian Language and Damodar Khadse, Marathi linguist regarding the historical background of reciprocity of Marathi and Hindi as very informative as well as interesting.
He expressed happiness that natural inclination of Prime Minister and the Home Minister towards Hindi, the language is gearing itself for globalization. Singh opined that linguistic unity has a lot to do with our national unity and development. He expressed hope that in the course of development of Hindi, the government in general and Ministry of Home Affairs in particular, under which falls the Department of Official Language-- will also keep in mind the demands of Hindi officials in terms of stagnation at higher levels.
